Joyful Harvest Church

Joyful Harvest Church will again be celebrating baptisms and receiving new members on Transfiguration of our Lord Sunday, February 14. All people interested in baptism should come to a class on February 7 from Noon to 1 p.m. The class will teach basic Lutheran understandings on the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and what it means to be a baptized child of God. For babies and young children to be baptized, parents and sponsors need to be professing Christians committed to the promise in raising the child in Christian instruction and faith. At least one parent also is to be an active member of Joyful Harvest. Older youth (beyond confirmation age) and adults, baptism is a public sign of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

For those desiring to become members of Joyful Harvest, a special class will be held on Sunday, February 7 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class, which will be taught by Pastor Bryce in his office, will introduce participants to Joyful Harvest Church including, the history of the congregation, the church’s core values, and vision for the future. The class will also cover a brief overview of the foundational beliefs of the Lutheran faith.
