Alpha is Here! In January, Joyful Harvest began an exciting 13-week journey through the Alpha Course that continues through the months of February and March. Each Sunday, the morning message will consist of a talk about the foundations of Christian discipleship. These talks are followed up by small groups which gather throughout the week for participants to share in fellowship and discussion. The goal of the groups is to build community and to help share in the mutual journey of discipleship as participants strive to apply lessons to daily life and seek answers to the big questions in life. Groups are held on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday mornings, and Thursday and Friday evenings. Alpha was developed by a church in England about 30 years ago. But the basic course format has been utilized in dozens of countries around the world and an estimated 8 million people participate in the Alpha Course annually. God has used this course to change lives and transform hearts the world over. Members of Joyful Harvest are encouraged get involved with Alpha every week and get plugged into a small group. Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. All are welcome. Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and to have fun at the same time. People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and to make new friends. Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks. Ask anything.
